Hi everyone! Welcome to Tuesday Tales! This week we have a picture prompt. So today we are with back with Demeter and Freddy in the third Gods of DC book. Click here to check out the other amazing Tuesday Tales. **Warning - there are adult situations and language.** The salty smell of ocean water was the first thing to hit her followed by natural light and then a cold breeze. She stepped out of the cave then looked around.
Freddy leaned against a boulder as he looked out over the sea, his arms crossed over his chest. He was dressed in a thick, green sweater and a pair of jeans. The slight tinge of red in his hair was evident in the sunlight. Demeter’s breath caught in her throat. The sight of him made her heart race. She approached him slowly. “You’re feeling better?” “Almost normal,” he answered, his gaze still on the expanse of water before him. Demeter frowned as she crossed the lush green grass to him. “Is everything alright?” “Just trying to sort all this shit out in my mind.” She bit her lower lip. “It seems we both withheld the truth from each other.” He huffed. “Seems so, doesn’t it? I have a ton of questions that need to be answered.” “As do I. Maybe we should take turns. You go first.” He glared at her as he pulled a hand free and gestured up and down her body. “Is this your true form?” “Yes. My turn. How did you withstand two of Zeus’s thunderbolts?” She saw Freddy’s lips curl in a snarl. “Because I am a dark leprechaun.” “I’m sorry. A what?” “Nope. My turn. Why did you change your appearance?” Demeter angled herself under his gaze. She rubbed his chest. “Because of that. Because of Iolaus.” “Who?” “It’s my turn. What is a dark leprechaun?” “Let’s just say my side of the family has no interest in cobbling shoes or protecting the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We’re more war minded. My turn. Who is Iolaus?”

"Because I am a dark leprechaun.” Love that! No shoe cobbling waste of time.
