“So, a goddess, huh?” his deep, rich voice questioned still full of sleep.
She sucked in a breath. “Yep.”
“It’s a little hard to believe.”
She lifted her head to look at him, a scowl on her face. “What’s so hard to believe? You’re a werewolf. It’s not like that’s easy to believe.”
“Yeah. But during a full moon I turn into a terrifying beast. Can’t refute that. But it’s not like you can sweep me off to heaven to prove…”
Athena snarled. That was enough. She glared at him as she concentrated. There were several pieces that had to fall into place.
Before he could finish his sentence, they were standing in Olympus. Mack’s eyes widened as he took in the lush green gardens, marble pillars, the ancient artifacts. He glanced down at his body now clad in just blue jeans. He stared at her then continued to study everything around him.
Athena smoothed her chiton then tucked a blonde curl that slipped from the gold band wrapped around her head. “You were saying?”
“Umm...yeah. I get it. Way to show and tell.”
She smirked at him. “Fantastic.”
He shook himself to his senses then strode across the thick grass to her. He gripped her hips and pulled her tight to him. Her breath shuddered as she felt his erection pressed tight against her belly. “Athena.”
“That’s my name, yes.”
His voice dropped low. It was sex incarnate. “Has anyone ever fucked you here?”
She trembled in his arms. “Until you, I was a virgin. So, no.”
“Hmm. Sounds like we need to fix that.” Mack’s mouth descended on hers, stealing her breath. He arched his hips against her. She felt the all familiar heat he brought her fill every pore of her. She didn’t know who might show up on Olympus to find them in a compromising position. The gods had a bad habit of hopping in and out randomly to get a taste of home.
At the moment she didn’t care. She could feel the all consuming madness taking her over again.
She bolted out of her haze, tearing her lips from Mack’s. Her eyes grew wide as she focused on the voice that filled her head.
Athena, where the fuck are you?
She pulled out of Mack’s grasp and took his hand. “We have to go.”
Mack frowned at her then growled. “What the fuck?”
“My brother is in my townhouse looking for me. He ghosts all over the fucking place. And trust me, Ares is not the one we want finding you and me in the middle of sex. Eternity is too long to keep getting crap from him about it.”
